| Additional Notes |
Arrived at Woodham Bros, Barry attached to 3822 GWR 2884 class 2-8-0. Tender number was found stamped on frame. Tank removed sometime in 2014-2015. This tender was originally part of the 'Barry 10' collection owned by South Glamorgan Council later passing to the Vale of Glamorgan Council . Subsequently owned by the Great Western Society from circa early 2016 it passed to the Churchward County Trust circa January 2022 for use with new build GWR County 4-4-0 no 3840. Assessment showed the frames were to heavily corroded to be restored and they were scrapped around November 2022 with parts such as wheels and axleboxes retained for use in a new build tender. Picture shows the tender at Woodham Bros, Barry sometime in the 1970's |
