| Additional Notes |
One of a batch built for the WD and then diverted to Turkey. Reimported 1989. This tender was never fitted with a water scoop and does not have the dome at the rear of the tender that would have housed the top of the scoop inlet pipe. Not known if tank has been replaced since preservation. The number 9999 was originally carried on a Stanier 4000 gallon tender built by North British Locomotive Ltd for the War Department in 1942, taken into LMS stock in 1943 and coupled to an 8F class 2-8-0. |
