Original tank is of riveted construction. The chassis had a full overhaul in 2018/2019 and a new tender tank had been built that is being fitted during the overhaul starting in mid/late 2024.. It is not known if this new tank is a welded tank with dummy rivets or a fully riveted tank. The last known tender allocated to 45690 was a Stanier 4000 gallon Mk 1 (riveted) number 9139. It is not known if the current tender has been positively identified as 9331 or whether 9331 was just a numberplate that was available during restoration. |
