Locomotive is at Tyseley while the tender remains on the West Somerset Rly. The tender was purchased from BR at Bristol Bath Road depot in October 1982. During intial restoration the bottom of the tank, internal baffles and brake gear were replaced. The original number is unknown, the only numbers found stamped on the tender start with a '2' possibly followed by an '8' or '9'. 2756 is the number of the last known tender allocated to GWR Hall class no.4936. |
