New build tender replacing the life expired previous tender originally preserved with NER J21 no 65033. The new tender incorporates some components from the old one. New welded tank built by Northern Steam Engineering of Stockton delivered in January 2022 to Locomotive Maintenance Services Ltd at Loughborough The tank is of welded construction and fitted with dummy rivets. Internally the tank has been redesigned to reduce interior moisture and corrosion. Frames built by Locomotive Maintenance Services Ltd and by March 2025 the completed frames were being painted though completed tank still to be fitted. |
