New build tender under construction at present. It incorporates a modified ladder frame from a late Collett chassis and other GWR standard parts. It will have a water capacity of approximately 4400 gallons. Frames had been assembled and wheeled by 2016. Steelwork for the tank was prepared by Richard Goodman Engineering Works, final assembly of the tank undertaken at the Great Western Society, Didcot and was largely complete by autumn 2022. |
