| Additional Notes |
Number has been confirmed from parts stamped on tender. Though the tank has not been replaced since preservation this is not the original tank. This was one of a small batch of tenders to Lot A112 built with what are usually described as Intermediate Tanks. These had higher sides and full length side fenders. The tank though was swapped or replaced during GWR/BR service (a relatively common practice at Swindon Works) with the tank now fitted. The tender was restored at Eastleigh Works in 1966 and no significant work has taken place since. |
