March 1974-10/8/1974 Most workings of 60103 LNER Class A3 4-6-2 used it as a second tender

11/8/1974-17/8/1975 No use identified in this period

18/8/1975 Used with 7752 GWR 57xx 0-6-0PT Tyseley-York-Shildon. Unknown if it actually was piped to take water from the tender on the move

18/8/1975-31/8/1975 Believed kept at Shildon during Locomotion 150 event (use if any unknown)

31/8/1975 Moved Shildon-Darlington in a train hauled by 7808 GWR Manor class 4-6-0 (not being used as a water carrier or tender for 7808)

1/9/1975 Used with 7752 GWR 57xx 0-6-0PT Darlington-York. Unknown if it actually was piped to take water from the tender on the move

December 1977 Start of storage, tender no longer used with 60103 LNER A3 class 4-6-2

Sept, Oct 1980, 21/6/1981 Three sightings of tender 5332 stored at Carnforth

30/6/1982 Seen in a siding at Sellafield. Not attached to 60103 though the loco had worked a special to Sellafield on that day but had not used tender 5332

October 1991 Sold to A1 Trust for possible use with new build LNER A1 class 4-6-2 (this is loco 60163, in the end this loco had a completely new tender and tender 5332 was never used with it)

1998 Sold to Flying Scotsman Services

Additional Notes Purchased from BR by Alan Pegler in 1966, modified to carry 6000 gallons of water and used as an additional water carrier for LNER A3 no. 4472 (BR 60103). Later sold to present owner and entire tank replaced. The new tank incorporates a centre rather than side corridor and has a fibreglass roof. External profile matches that of the 5000 gallon corridor tender with the exception of the loss of the coal space and changes at the front end. 98999 is the tender's current TOPS number for working on the National Rail network. The tender is based at Crewe for use with LNER A4 class no. 60007 and LNER A2 class no. 60532.
