Locomotives Used with this Tender Feb 1966 Arrived at Woodham Bros, Barry with 7927 GWR Modified Hall 4-6-0

July 1977 Left Woodham Bros, Barry having been sold in January 1977 with 6989 GWR Modified Hall class 4-6-0 (The loco did not actually leave Barry until January 1978)

Late February 2018- to date Spare (6989 GWR modified Hall class 4-6-0 running with Collett 4000 gallon tender no. 2771)
Additional Notes Tender arrived at Woodham Bros, Barry attached to GWR Modified Hall number 7927. 2825 was the last tender this locomotive was coupled to in BR service and this has been confirmed by stamped numbers found on parts of the tender. The tank has been replaced since preservation and is of all welded construction with dummy rivets. The restoration group initially decided to not put dummy rivets on and renumber the tender 4019 as a small batch of Collett 4000 gallon tenders were built to diagram A186 with welded tanks and numbered between 4010-4019. A numberplate with 4019 on it was fitted in May 2016. Between 2020 and April 2025 very little work was done on the tender which consisted of restored frames and wheels and a partially completed tank. Final restoration was largely completed in 2025 and a decision to fit dummy rivets has led to returning to the original number of the tender. It is being restored to run with GWR Modified Hall no 6989, restoration of the locomotive is now complete and at present 6989 is running at present with GWR Collett 4000 gallon tender no. 2771. The photo shows the tender prior to completion of the tank and without the dummy rivets.
