Notes | Built at Tyseley Locomotive Works. The DHR tank locomotives did not usually run with tenders though the DHR did have some tenders for these locos in the 1930s-1950s and perhaps earlier. The design brief for the current tender was to have something that was similar to what Sharp Stewart, builders of no 19B, would have produced in the late 19th century. The chassis is from an ex military narrow gauge wagon built by Robert Hudson with coil springs replaced with leaf springs. An air compressor is fitted in the rear of the tender tank accessed via doors at the rear. Water and coal capacity are approximate based on dimensions taken in 2022. |
