During the most recent overhaul completed in 2019 the dragbox and 50% of the frames (excluding the main frames) was replaced. The tender tank had plating on the the upper surfaces of the coal and water space replaced. The dome above the filler pipe from water scoop has been removed to make space for batteries to run the electronic and computer systems necessary for mainline running. The tender is now complete but the restoration of the locomotive continues. |
