Notes | The rear buffer beam on this tender still retains the two circular holes that were used to accommodate the European railway safety chains that were mandatory for all rolling stock that was to be sent to the Western Front, also extant is the dummy bracket on the rear buffer beam for the Westinghouse automatic air brake hose that was fitted during the time that the tender had this brake system fitted to it. Box type coal chute. New tank built by Sam Walker Engineering of Shettleston, Glasgow in the late 1970s using fittings taken from the original tank. Tank has been refitted to frames in late 2023 during current overhaul. |
