Notes Tender built by the Southern Railway at Brighton and originally coupled to LNER O6 class 2-8-0 no 7671 which eventually became LMS 8F no 8725 (BR 48725). Tank is of welded construction. The entire water scoop operating mechanism has been removed during the 2013-2018 overhaul. The actual scoop had been removed in 1994 after derailment damage. The extra water capacity is from a tank fitted within the coal space. Both photos show the original tank.
