Notes Bought from Barry Scrapyard with LMS 4F class 0-6-0 no.44123. Tank cut in half and removed July 2004, at present stored next to the running line north of Bitton station though difficult to see as largely engulfed in vegetation. The main side frames are stored in the yard at Bitton underneath items of stock on one of the sidings. The remains of the frames have also been retained 'for information' during the construction of a new tender which will also carry the number 3257 (see 3257 new build). The remains of the original tender will be scrapped eventually.
